I am a product designer who thrives in complexity. The majority of my career has been spent working on dense, data-heavy tools, and I enjoy finding ways to ensure they are a clear, gratifying, user-friendly experience. Having predominantly been the sole designer at these companies, I am comfortable owning the design process completely while working closely with engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
In addition to design, I have built websites, apps, and games using a variety of languages and frameworks. In the last few months, I have been leveraging AI with tools like Claude Code, and Cursor to aid in expanding my ideas more efficiently and effectively. In my most recent role, I had the pleasure of taking on the responsibility of product management, and dove headfirst into the nuanced world of customer success and support.
I was raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where a culture of innovation was all around me. As a naturally curious and creative kid, I was drawn to computers early on and used them as a way to explore and bring my ideas to life. Knowing I wanted to pursue a career in technology, I moved to Toronto after I graduated high school to study audio engineering & production, but eventually realized that I preferred music as a hobby rather than a career. In 2015, I moved to Vancouver and enrolled at SFU, to study design, and subsequently graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Arts and Technology.
When I’m not working, I enjoy writing music and love to listen to Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, and Olafur Arnalds. I am a people person at heart; I love playing sports, games of all kinds, and am known to find any excuse to get a group together to have fun. Outside of games and music, I love to hike, and go on road trips in my camper van with my wife Jaimi, who I’ve been with for over 10 years.
